Membership

Membership with the San Mateo County Republican Party is a way to connect with other individuals who share, and are willing to promote, our common values of freedom and liberty. The time commitment is determined by your availability and openness to get involved. Becoming a member is a great way to stay current on state legislation, upcoming events and monthly meetings.

We will make every dollar you give count and ensure that your support is reaching the right hands!

  • Central Committee

$65 - Elected, Appointed and Ex-officio Members (voting members)

Central Committee membership is obtained either through appointment by a vote of the majority of Committee members or by filing papers with the Elections Office to be elected during the Presidential Election years.

Ex-officio members are also members of the Central Committee if they are:

    1. Candidates who won top two in a partisan race,

    2. Elected to a partisan office, or

    3. The top Republican vote getter admitted into the Committee.

  • Associate Member

    $35

Do you want to support the efforts of your San Mateo County GOP? Here's what we are doing… We're recruiting candidates for 2022! We have volunteers who monitor our local government's activities and speak out against it's over-reach.

    • We support our local Law Enforcement.

    • We're working on the School Choice Initiative.

    • We're getting Great Speakers for our Social Events.

    • We're working with the Election Office to raise confidence in our Local Elections.

    • And we are organizing and training volunteers for the June 2022 Primary Election.

If you can't volunteer yourself you can receive the title of “Associate Member of SMGOP” for the small sum of $30.00 per year. And you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting the efforts of Fellow Citizens who are Fighting the Good Fight!

  • Alternate Members

    $35

Alternate Members serve as a substitute for a Central Committee member when they are not able to make a meeting.

Each Central Committee member can appoint their own alternate who must reside in the same district as the member.

If you would like to be an alternate, please indicate your interest by emailing info@smgop.org.

  • Student Member

    $15

Student Members help to organize the youth in San Mateo County and assist SMGOP members with administrative and general tasks.

They are also invited to events to help with registration and attend for free. Student members can get their membership dues covered by sponsors if requested.

If you would like to be a student member and need a sponsor, please contact us at info@smgop.org.
