There are many ways to experience the San Mateo County GOP to learn more and help improve our community and quality of life. From monthly networking meetings to mixers to special events for Young Republicans, this is one organization that is constantly learning and growing.
Our regular events, individual relationships, community involvement, and social media utilization help create a sense of community for our members and is a key part of our focus. When you join our efforts, you will realize the strong bond we have because of our principles and values. To learn more about our community and become a part of it, we encourage you to contact us and attend one of our events. Several are events are listed below with a description allowing you to know what to expect the moment you walk through the door.
- San Mateo County GOP Monthly Meetings – Monthly meetings are where our formal business takes place but there is nothing formal about our attitude. We like to get to know newcomers right away and make them feel welcome. You can expect to be asked your opinion from day one and constantly challenged with new ideas and ways that we can engage and improve our county. Part of every meeting is reserved for breakout sessions where you can discuss your ideas, and once you get by-in even launch your own program sponsored by the San Mateo County GOP.
- Young Republican Mixers – We sponsor mixers to encourage young Republicans to network, exchange ideas, and have fun! If you’re between the ages of 21 and 40, feel free to join us for our young Republican events that always help excite and inspire.
- “Get to Know Your Neighbors” Initiative –One of our newer programs, the “Get to Know Your Neighbors” Program allows you to connect with other like-minded individuals in your own neighborhood. Volunteers leading this initiative are appointed to be Precinct Captains and hold monthly or quarterly outings to network, understand local concerns, and mobilize for action. For hands-on activists, the “Get to Know Your Neighbors” program is an ideal way to get plugged in to the San Mateo County GOP and help us connect with our members on a personal level.
- Committee Seats – The members of the committee are elected by Republicans in the county every 2 years. If you are interested in becoming a member of the committee, attend our meetings and learn about our purpose and how to run for a seat.
